Meet our Admin!

  • Founder and Program Director

With more than 18 years of experience in early childhood education, I have dedicated my career to developing and leading culturally responsive preschool programs that reflect and honor the diverse communities they serve. My journey began in the United Kingdom, where I successfully operated a preschool for seven years before bringing my passion and expertise to the United States.

Over the past 11 years in the U.S., I have served in multiple roles across the early care and education sector, including Social Worker, Preschool Director, and Program Developer. These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of the needs of children, families, educators, and communities. Most recently, prior to founding Every Step Preschool, I served as the Early Learning Program Director for a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing high-quality early learning initiatives.

Throughout every phase of my career, I have remained committed to equity, inclusion, and the belief that all children deserve a strong, supportive start in life.

  • Program and Community Coordinator

While this is my first year personal working in childcare, I’ve grown up watching childcare programs be created and then flourish.

I recently graduated from Oregon State University with a degree relating to design management. I’ve been using my educational background to help expand the family business and find new and creative ways to improve our centers.

I love to get to know every family and keep them up to date with news about our center as well as hearing about ways to support each child to create an inclusive and culturally diverse environment.

Meet our Lead Teachers!

  • Room 1 Lead Teacher

I studied at and graduated from Portland State University in 2023 with a major in psychology and double minors in music and Italian, I was lucky enough to find my passion for child development there. I officially began my career in early childhood education in 2021, but over my high school summers I volunteered at my local Y and was always with the preschoolers. This age is so rich and full of never-ending learning, I truly love being able to witness the growth these kids go through day by day. As a teacher, I view myself as a guide getting to learn alongside children and taking their interests and curiosities as inspiration for curriculum. Preschool is a time to find the joy in learning! We are always developing our skills and knowledge, so it’s never too early to start fostering big imaginations and a sense of wonder. My main goal as a teacher is to be a support and safe place for the kids in all aspects of their lives, I hope to build their sense of belonging and help them have confidence to explore our world.

I moved here from Eugene, OR with my partner and pet tortoise for school. Outside of childcare, I love to craft and make art, play and watch women's lacrosse, read, and spend time with my friends and family. I’m always looking for recommendations for tattoo artists, card/board games, books/book stores, and ways to get involved in the community!

  • Room 2/3 Lead Teacher

I have been an Early Childhood Educator for over 10 years. I was born in Mexico, and Spanish is my first language. I grew up along the Texas border, and my bilingual and multicultural background greatly influences my teaching philosophy and the environment I create in my classroom.

Besides my Early Childhood Education training, I hold a certification in the Texas School Ready Project through the Children’s Learning Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth). I have also recently earned a certificate in the Parents as Teachers program. I am passionate about continuous learning and focus much of my professional development on inclusive teaching practices and creating equitable, supportive classrooms.

Early Childhood Education is truly my passion. I love supporting young children as they grow, explore, and build confidence. I am also deeply committed to mentoring new teachers, helping them become their best selves, and ensuring we provide the right support for every child in our program.

Creating anti-bias and multicultural classrooms is one of my top priorities. I love bringing my culture and language into the classroom and encouraging families and children to share their own traditions and experiences with us. I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, respected, and valued.
